Limo websites problems | Unfocused designs

How would you feel if you went to an airline website like delta.com and right on the homepage there are sections dedicated to:

Selling you shoes
Giving you gardening advice
…etc

Yeah, that wouldn’t make any sense because it would slow you down as you try to buy an airline ticket – which is the only reason for the website to exist. At worst, it would make you wonder if you really want to buy a ticket from such a “confused” airline.

Some of the crap I have seen on limo websites include widgets for flight trackers, weather reports, traffic maps, etc. These are all things that I’m sure limo customers need. However, that does not mean they should be on your website. If I need a weather forecast, I check weather.com. If I need flight information, I’ll check my airlines website. The point is that this crap doesn’t help your website and if its not helping, its hurting.

So think about how focused your site is and if you have “crap” on it, remove it and your customer experience on your site will become more straightforward.
